Students to ring in NASDAQ

A group of students and faculty from the Asper School of Business will follow in the footsteps of CEOs and celebrities to ring one of the most important bells in international financial markets.

A group of students and faculty from the Asper School of Business will follow in the footsteps of CEOs and celebrities to ring one of the most important bells in international financial markets.

The contingent from the University of Manitoba will officially open Nasdaq, the world's highest-trading volume stock exchange, on August 18.

Glenn Feltham, dean of the Asper School, said he hasn't heard of any other Winnipeg group having opened a day of trading on Nasdaq.

"This is too cool for words," he said.
