The tallest building in Saskatchewan could soon be rising above downtown Saskatoon.
North Prairie Development has unveiled plans for its 27-storey City Centre Tower, a residential and hotel project at the corner of 22nd Street and 3rd Avenue, adjacent to the company's Discovery Plaza office complex.
"We expect this project to be on par or to exceed that of some of the downtown highrise projects in Calgary or Vancouver," said North Prairie president John Williams.
The tower is to house a hotel and 200 condos, along with a meeting centre, restaurant and fitness centre. Project construction, valued at north of $80 million, is slated to begin in March of 2014 for completion in mid-2016.
