Shyness is not going to be a problem for the newest star of the Assiniboine Park Zoo.
Recently arrived from the Toronto Zoo, Hudson is the first polar bear at the zoo since 2008. Margaret Redmond, president and CEO of the Assiniboine Park Conservancy, said Hudson has made a quick transition to his new home.
He will be housed at the zoo's International Polar Bear Conservation Centre until the four-hectare Journey to Churchill exhibit, expected to be a major tourist attraction, opens next year.
