The "crocus building" was renamed as the "McKim building" in January.

Peter George believes he has exorcised the demons from 211 Bannatyne Avenue.

The CEO of McKim Communications Group, a Winnipeg-based branding and advertising agency, has bought the naming rights for the six-storey downtown building, known for years as the “Crocus Building,” and rechristened it with the McKim banner.

The price of the 10-year deal isn’t being released but George said it “wasn’t onerous.”

The 62,000-square-foot building used to house the infamous Crocus Investment Fund, a labour-sponsored fund that blew up in a series of multimillion-dollar scandals.
