Condo tower and office building proposed for site near Vancouver's Oakridge Centre

A 32-storey market residential tower and 12-storey office building over a four-storey podium are proposed for a block of land directly opposite Vancouver's under-transformation Oakridge Centre.

Vivagrand Developments and IBI Group are behind the rezoning application for the project at 5812 to 5844 Cambie St., which was submitted to the City of Vancouver under the Cambie Corridor plan.

If approved, it would produce 257 condo units, 106,342 square feet of office space, 11,599 square feet of retail space, a 5,802-square-foot public childcare facility with 37 spaces, and a 5,912-square-foot youth centre.

The site, located between West 42 and West 43rd Avenue, is within the Oakridge Municipal Town Centre — the area around West 41st Avenue and Cambie Street — which is designated for increased heights, various types of housing, job space and amenities. It’s across from a Canada Line SkyTrain station.
