Christy Clark is still premier of British Columbia, but Green Party leader Andrew Weaver is now the most influential politician in B.C. The Green party holds three crucial seats following the May 9 election of a minority Liberal government.

And Weaver does not want to see the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion proceed.

Both the provincial and federal governments have already approved the Edmonton-to-Burnaby pipeline project. It’s just not clear whether Kinder Morgan’s shareholders and partners will now make a final investment decision on the $7.4 billion expenditure.
