Canadian hockey superstar Sidney Crosby, widely known as "Sid the Kid," has signed a five-year promotional deal with the Forzani Group Ltd.

Crosby is best known for his gold-winning goal in Vancouver's 2010 Olympics, and for leading his Pittsburgh Penguins team to the Stanley Cup championship a year earlier.
"My time spent on the ice as a kid was me always dreaming of being able to play in the NHL one day," said Crosby. "I am fortunate enough to be able to have that dream come true and know there are other kids out there who share the same passion. Equipment is such an important part of playing the game for safety and performance. The Crosby line will include sticks, skates, clothing and protective equipment, and be available at Sport Check, Sport Experts and Hockey Expert outlets, exclusive retailers of Sidney's Reebok SC87 Signature Collection.
