Aussie Pet Mobile, the world's largest mobile pet-grooming service, recently signed two franchise agreements that will bring its mobile units to Victoria and Calgary. The pet-grooming services are the first of more than 40 mobile units that are planned to be set up across British Columbia and Alberta by the end of 2012. Over the next five years, Aussie Pet Mobile aims to have more than 300 units operating throughout Canada.

"It is an exciting time to be a part of the Aussie Pet Mobile franchise system and we look forward to increasing our presence throughout regions of Canada," said Richard Avis, president and CEO of Aussie Pet Mobile, Canada. "Aussie Pet Mobile offers a great opportunity for potential investors to capitalize on the billion-dollar pet industry while providing a service that keeps pets healthy and clean."

Winning many awards, the convenient mobile pet-grooming service offers one-on-one attention in an inviting and relaxing atmosphere not typically found in storefront grooming locations. The Aussie Pet Mobile, a custom-designed Mercedes Benz van fully self contained with air conditioning, heat, electricity and water, relies on no outside electrical or water hookups, making the service easy for apartment or condo residents as well as home owners. The mobile unit is even solar powered, the company notes.

Founded in Australia in 1996, Aussie Pet Mobile services more than 500 exclusive territories in the U.S. and nine overseas countries. In 2009, Aussie Pet Mobile was voted the World's No.1 Pet Service by Entrepreneur Magazine. Aussie Pet Mobile's franchise fee starts at $29,000 and requires a minimum of $73,000 in capital for a single-unit operation.
