A 22.8-acre development site in Port Alberni has sold for $1.8 million, Colliers International Nanaimo tells Western Investor. 
 
The land is slated for multi- and single-family development, surrounded by mature, mainly single-family residential development. The subject property is located within Port Alberni’s core urban area and fronts onto Burde Street, 16th Avenue and Anderson Avenue, and is only three blocks from major retail centres and commercial amenities located on the Port Alberni Highway/Redford Street arterial. The site is currently zoned for institutional use, including arenas, cultural or recreational centres, hospitals, police stations, or supportive housing.
