Langley multifamily portfolio sells to not-for-profit

CAP REIT sells two assets in deal funded by provincial cash

New Vista Society's $35 million purchase of the Brighton and Claymore multifamily properties in Langley was supported by the BC Rental Protection Fund.

DEAL | A portfolio sale of two multifamily properties, the Brighton at 5375 204 Street and the Claymore at 5374 203 Street, Langley, closed March 27. Cushman & Wakefield brokers David Venance, Patrick Hannah and Chris Harper handled the sale from Canadian Apartment Properties REIT to New Vista Society, a local non-profit organization that provides affordable housing to seniors and families. The $35 million acquisition was supported with funding from the BC Rental Protection Fund, announced in January 2023. Situated on 3.2 acres, both were constructed in 1978 and have a total of 108 units for an average price of $324,074 per door.
