The County of Grande Prairie has chosen a firm to move forward with it on a 107-acre logistics park. The county is working with Side Management toward the development of a multi-modal logistics centre situated in the heart of the Clairmont Industrial Area just north of Grande Prairie.

"We understand the significance of rail in the development of the region's economy and are happy to play a role in the evolution of this exciting project," said Linda Side, CEO of Side Management.

The site is supported by CN Rail and is located next to the company's line and highways 43 and 2.

The county expects the development of the rail-to-truck, truck-to-rail service depot to begin in late spring.
